Ty Challenged at Icebreaker

Ty Challenged at Icebreaker

Wisconsin Dells – 4-17-16 – On a long awaited warm Wisconsin day, Ty entered the bullring with a stout field of 35 super late models at Dells Raceway park. He was fastest in practice twice but ended up chasing the set up all day on race day. He had a disappointing qualifying run of 19th and had to run the qualifier race. He finished second and earned his spot in the starting lineup for the feature. Ty started the feature 17th. He battled his way through traffic and passed enough cars to be up to 5th with 77 laps left. When the green flag dropped after a caution, he passed for 4th where he remained until another caution came out. Ty restarted in the second position but gave up the number 2 spot to a faster car. He ended up with a 3rd place podium finish. All in all it was a great finish in a tough field with a challenging car. A special thank you to Crew Chief Toby Nuttleman for working so hard on the car to get it as good as it was. Thanks to car owners Brad and Nancy Mannstedt and Spotter Brad Majeski. Without the crew of Chris and Craig Johnson and Brian Bank, it would be difficult to have the success we did! Thanks to iRacing.com, Montgomery Ward, Ted Mannstedt and Son, Lefthander Chassis, B&B Race Engines, Wehr’s Machine and Frog Racing.

We would like to give a special thank you to all the fans that were cheering for Ty and showing their support by purchasing apparel! For those that didn’t get their sizes, We will have a fresh order for the race at Madison on April 30.

Ty’s next race is at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway on Sunday, April 24. Looking ahead on Sunday, April 30, Ty will be racing at Madison International Speedway for the Joe Shear Classic. Hope to see you at one or both of these races.
