The headlines were all about Matt Kenseth coming to Madison International Speedway and how he edged Ty Majeski out on the last lap for the win and Slinger Nationals. What would happen at the Howie Lettow Memorial race? Would there be payback? Would it be Matt and Ty at the end? In a packed house, all eyes were on these two talented drivers. Majeski showed muscle by setting fast time for the day. He rolled a one and started in the 8th spot for the feature. Kenseth was inverted to the outside pole. Kenseth worked his way past Austin Nason for the lead while Majeski worked his way through traffic. Ty quickly caught up to the leader and made the pass for the lead on lap 31. That’s where he stayed lap after lap. After 100 laps with multiple cautions with 20 to go, It was Ty Majeski that took the checkered with Morrisey at p2, Eilen p3 and Kenseth p4. “Our car sure was fast tonight. Really proud of everyone… This is cool” said Majeski. “I just had to be prepared for all of those restarts and those guys raced me clean all night.”
Ty’s next race is at Dells Raceway Park for the “Escape To Wisconsin 100” ARCA Midwest Tour race.
